Hi, I’m Hannah – I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.
Rewild You is a space for courageous (and usually adventurous) women navigating life’s turning points — grief, identity shifts, burnout, or that quiet longing that whispers: there has to be more than this.
A little about me
I started out in civil engineering – yes, spreadsheets, site plans and hi-vis safety vests. On the surface, life looked sparkly and happy. But underneath, I was chasing something more (or running away, it depends on your perspective I suppose)—often quite literally.
I’ve explored New Zealand Aotearoa’s backcountry on foot, on water and by bike, and sometimes beyond – from remote South Island valleys to the deserts of Jordan.

When I turned 30, I lost three people close to me in one devastating year.
It made me stop. Reassess. Rethink… well, everything.
The outdoors became more than about the adventure – it became a lifeline. A way back to myself.
From there, I began forging new paths—sometimes stumbling, sometimes blazing. I trained as a coach, guided by a deep desire to support others navigating big life transitions. I’ve since studied yoga, resilience psychology, the human nervous system, and somatic therapy.
Within a year of my losses, I ran a five-day ultramarathon across Jordan’s Wadi Rum desert - you can listen to that story here:
I later broke my foot while out trail running (of course), and found myself grounded—literally. With nowhere to run, I finally began writing the book I’d always said I’d get to someday.
Opening up that creative space for the first time in my life also led to being a regular contributor to New Zealand’s leading outdoor magazine, NZ Hunter, an essay published in a liminal gathering: Elixir & Star Grief Almanac 2023, and now this Substack that’s part personal story, part guidebook for others.
What to expect here
My work is dedicated to helping women reclaim their resilience, confidence, and wild nature—through adventure, transformation, and storytelling.
Here you’ll find:
Nourish Notes – a monthly round-up of nourishing goodness.
Resilience Toolkit – practical tools, evidence-based guides, and how-tos for emotional resilience and wellbeing.
Rewild Guides – field guides for adventures of all types.
Memoir-ish – dispatches from my own adventures - of mountains, mind, heart, and the wild in between.
Expect a mix of walking the questions alongside you and practical support. Less “fix yourself,” more “find yourself.”

When you’re ready for more
I also offer 1:1 coaching with my RECLAIM curriculum, occasional events, retreats and wilderness experiences for women. It’s all of what you see here – and a whole lot more.
Or we can have a chat! Book a free 30-minute consult here. In our session, we’ll take a holistic look at what you're navigating, uncover what you truly want moving forward, and explore personalised strategies to support you. You’ll walk away with clarity, a grounded action plan, and a renewed sense of agency.
Enough about me – I’d love to hear from you.
